What is the minimum salary for an Employment Pass?
From S$5,600 a month for younger candidates (S$6,200 in financial services), rising with age to S$10,700 or S$11,800 at 45 and above.
What is COMPASS and what score do I need?
The points framework for EP eligibility. You need at least 40 points across salary, qualifications, and firm-level factors. Candidates earning S$22,500 or more are exempt.
How long does an EP application take?
Usually within about 10 business days for a Singapore-registered company, or up to 8 weeks for an overseas company without a local entity.
How much does an EP cost?
S$105 to apply and S$225 to issue per pass. Our service fee is quoted after your free assessment.
Do I need to advertise the job first?
Usually yes. Unless the salary is S$22,500 or more, the role must be advertised on MyCareersFuture for at least 14 days before applying.
Can a business owner sponsor their own EP?
Yes. A founder or director can sponsor their own EP through their Singapore company, subject to the same salary and COMPASS rules.
Can an EP holder apply for PR?
Yes. The EP is the strongest foundation for a PR application, usually after two to three years.
